Flash knockout+Sherdog=worshipped as the new messiah.

Happens every time someone gets a great knockout. Thing is flash knockouts are not instructive about how good a fight is . Contrast this with the recent boxing fight between AJ and Ruiz. Ruiz demonstrated consistent skill. when a fighter does that you can talk about it but a thousand threads praising a fighter the greatest ever from a knockout of a sloppy out of balance haymaker is just ridiculous.

Fighters that have been/can be mentally broken?

or defeated. Who looks for a way out or outright quits?

Names & reasons!

New big poll confirmed that most MMA fans think Jon Jones is the GOAT.

Gsp did put up a good fight but at the end of the day, Jon Jones is still the Goat.

Note:
Anderson was out in the third round(3rd place).
DC was out in the fourth round(4th place).
DJ was out in the fifth round(5th place).
Fedor was out in the sixth round(6th place).

RIP Luke Thomas' MMA Hour

so luke thomas just announced that he's stepping away from mmafighting.com
as far as he knows, there will be no more MMA hour and no more MMA Beat, unless they replace him

luke was adamant that he was not fired (which probably means he was fired) and his reason for leaving was health related...maybe too many PEDs? oh and he's got a kid now, so that's a good reason for wanting to work less

he hinted that there were many behind the scene issues (ariel)
and that he'll be back with something...

I joined the Sherdog message boards 15 years ago today..

Finally made this account after UFC 48. Ken Shamrock defeated Kimo Leopoldo in the main event, probably his last win, lol. Frank Mir snapped Tim Sylvia's arm. Pretty good card actually.

The website looked a lot different back then. The message boards had a white background. MMA was more of an underground thing back then. Pretty much only hardcore followers of the sport on here back in those days. The first season of TUF wouldn't even air until the following January. Been a long time ago...

So Artem's Strategy is gonna be Clinch Striking..Are MMA Fighters really better in the Clinch?

This is one of the most interesting things about the boxing vs MMA debate...How would a boxer fair against an MMA fighter if Clinch Striking was aloud(Punching of course).

Artem seems to think that Paulie will be weak in the clinch because it isn't really used in boxing.

Time Stamped.

Conor claimed the same thing before he fought Floyd

Of course we all saw Floyd destroy Conor in the clinch, Conor never...

So Artem's Strategy is gonna be Clinch Striking..Are MMA Fighters really better in the Clinch?

Will sherdog be angry if Conor toys with khabib rather than finish him?

I think a Cody vs Cruz scenario is very likely here. Will sherdog be pissed at Conor if he carries khabib and clowns him rather than going for the finish?

Will khabib tap to strikes possible to save face if it ends up worse than Conor vs Eddie ?

In a post on Instagram, Prograis offered to fight McGregor twice, once in boxing and once in MMA:

Fighters who truly fear no opponent

Jones
DC
Conor
Tony
Cain
Robbie
Gaethje

These guys would never turn down a fight other than maybe for financial reasons / politics. They truly would fight anybody anytime, anywhere

Sherdog just posted their current top 10 p4p rankings. Lets see yours.

Mine in comparison:
1. Jon Jones
2. Mighty Mouse (I think he beat Cejudo although close... Hard to punish a guy in the rankings you think beat the 125/135/Olympic champ).
3. Henry Cejudo - loss to Mighty Mouse was razor thin and I had him besting JoeyB
4. DC - Only loss is to the best and he felt the need to cheat to do it.
5. Khabib - Should have one loss, but to a Roider
6. Tony Ferguson
7. Whittaker
8. Holloway
9. Usman
10. McGregor

Champ Champ doesn't mean anything unless the fighters were the best in both divisions.

Otherwise its just luck and good timing.

Conor was never the best lightweight....he beat eddie alvarez who was never even close to being the best lightweight....khabib/ferguson wouldve pushed his shit back in 2016....hell kevin lee and plenty of other wrestlers probably would destroy em too.

GSP was never the best middleweight...He beat Bisping LMFAO...literally the easiest MW championship fight in years.....Yoel/whittaker would've killed GSP..they were clearly better Middleweights....

Champ Champ doesn't mean anything unless the fighters were the best in both divisions.

Cocky fighters who were humbled or who need humbling

Humbled
- Conor McGregor
- Joanna Jedrezec
- Ronda Rousey
- Rampage Jackson
- Rashad Evans
- TJ Dillashaw

Need humbling

- Israel Adesanya
- Henry Cejudo
