1. Matt Serra: People mostly only remember him for KO’ing GSP. The only other somewhat big win I can remember from him was knocking out Frank Trigg. He also has decision wins over Shonie Carter and Chris Lytle.

Still Matt Serra’s only win most people know of is over GSP.

Not saying Serra is a poor fighter or anything, people just know of him though as the guy who pulled off the biggest upset in UFC history.

I remember when they removed the IMDB message boards. I thought oh no, its going to be difficult to kill some time now and certainly had great moments engaging with people on there about different subjects. Luckily with Sherdog it helped to fill that void. However it still felt weird for a month or so.

How would you cope if Sherdog forums all of sudden disappeared?

Is there other forum sites similar or as good as Sherdog?

What do fighters tell their kids when they lose?

So it must be hard to explain to your kid why you lost and why you're fighting. I wonder what these guys tell their kids after a bad loss or even a losing streak in general.

"Hey kiddo, we need money so i get bashed up for you" or "i think it's fun to hit people and get hit back. it's like a fun chess game" or "this is the only way i can legally touch a man like that and i like to touch men like that?"

It must be a tough conversation. Stuff like that could make or break a family and even...

Im mean sure Yair isnt supposed to extend his hands like that, but can you really blame him? Fighters get away with it all the time, the first one i think is DC vs Stipe 1 (but there are plenty more).

Its really the UFCs and the commissions job to find ways to prevent stuff like that from happening. Harder punishment for even extending your hands, different gloves or more time for the fighter to recover.

Why Dagestan produces so many professional fighters?

I've seen people asking this or talking about this in numerous threads. Often many incorrect assumptions are made so I'd like to give my own take on it. Which might be more credible to some since I'm from the same region.

I hate to say this but I honestly could see it disappearing completely.

This is a very young sport and were just starting to see the aftermath of some long careers...

Look at Hughes, Penn, Miller and even some other guys who are complete lost causes due to brain damage and who end up doing awful things and even in prison outside of the octogan. Look at how Nate can't even string together 2 sentences.
