If Henry Cejudo drops the title & FLW division is gone, how does this affect the fighters in FLW?

Some of you may have heard Henry say he believes his career will end at BM and cutting weight is hard for him which pretty much sounds like he doesn't want to defend the FLW title and with Dana saying to The Schmo he doesn't know what they'll do with the FLW division this will obviously leave the FLW fighters in a bit of a predicament.

Specially the fight with Benavidez and Cejudo will obviously be dropped meaning all the work Joe has done (and all the other fighters in the division) will...

Why are some professional fighters overweight?

Honest question. How do you train for 4-6 hours five times a week and have excess body fat? Are they eating poisonous food. Too much saturated fats and oils, or do they just excess? Raphael Pessoa is morbidly obese and he's a 30 year old professional fighter.

Raphael was the Brazilian HW that opened the card yesterday. 50lbs of excess fat on his body. He was 30lbs lighter a year ago. Everyone posting on here clearly has an 8-pack but feel free to weigh in.

Frank Shamrock as the pinnacle of MMA - how much has the sport really evolved in the past 20 years?

At the turn of the last Millenium one man was held to be the way of the future of an underground sport: Frank Shamrock.

This old highlight was like a homage to a god on this site I recall and embodyment of the new blood and the sports future at the time.

Most Successful Fighters with Bad Striking

In light of this weekends fight card topped by two k1 level strikers, it got me thinking. Who is the most successful UFC Fighter in history to have "bad" Striking Ability?

I would say Askren, but his run in the UFC so far has been less than stellar. Maybe Maia?

Has UFC/MMA lost its luster for you too

I used to have to watch every event up until about a year ago. Now I just have the Ill catch it if I can attitude. Or just even catch the highlights.

I believe a combination of things resulted in the decline of interest for me. Maybe some will agree but..

1) All the old stars have faded away or retired (Silva, JDS, Tate, Cain, Machida, Jones, Diazs etc)
2) Too many shows with no names (Makes it easy to skip over & lose track of whats going on)
3) UFC is now more focused on becoming more...

UFC fighters youve met

Im bored and at work might as well.

Brad Tavares was great, told us he didnt think Nick Ring was gay but his boyfriend was for sure.

Dana White, met him roughly 8 times. cool dude, really funny, sold handshake.

Anderson Silva. Gave me the worlds worst autograph and was half out of the picture when I tried to take it. Hes a lot bigger than I thought though.

Tito Ortiz. Massive human being irl. Was impressed by his handshake, would shake again.

Todd Duffee. Awesome guy, hung out...

Can we now finally admit that this myth has been busted?

Why do Anderson, Fedor, and Gsp get a pass for fighting "smaller" fighters but jones don't?

Anderson Silva has fought: 5'9 welterweight Ryo Chonan, former welterweight Nick Diaz, welterweight Patrick cote, former lightweight Nate Marquardt( He was lightweight at first, then middleweight, and then welterweight), former welterweight Daiju Takase, Welterweight Maia.

Fedor has fought: 40 years old middleweight Hendo, Former light heavyweight Fabio Maldonado, light-heavyweight Arona, light heavyweight Randleman, former middleweight matt Lindman, Light-heavyweight Chris haseman,

List fighters Khabib needs to beat to be the undisputed goat

In before jon jones.
be realistic, fighters within 155/170

So the question is...
what is the MINIMUM that Khabib needs to do for him to be the goat in your eyes.
For me the minimum he has to do is:
1) Tony
2) GSP
3) Gaethje
would put him just above everyone else for me...

but to put him really ahead of everyone would be if he also won the 170lb belt against Usman.

Let us create some Sherdog lore

In the beginning all was dark

And then there was light

Soon after; Sherdog

“UFC discussion came first, called The Heavyweights in those times, where ancient PrideFC was hotly debated. When talk of Ttio Ortiz or Chocolate L were brought up; these clashes devolved quickly into fire laden madness.”

“Twas there in the heavyweights a great story was written, of “an old baron called Goober Taylor who won champion Tim Sylvia’s favour” (and indeed he live-posted about their friendship during a...

*If you could only watch one for the next 10 years, which would you choose: Football or MMA?*

You can't watch the other one, not even a rep. Which would you prefer, football (NFL, NCAA) or MMA (UFC, Bellator, etc.)?

When fighters credit their opponents (the loser) after winning the fight.

I was wondering what you guys thought about this as for me personally I find it quite admirable when fighters give props and credit to their opponents after they won a fight.

I haven't watched every interview with Izzy since his win so I'm not going to judge the guy specifically however the one's I've seen not once have I seen any credit to Whittaker from Izzy or his team and I've kinda been waiting for it, it's all been about how good they were and Rob wasn't (including Izzy's dad) & how...

Israel just beat 2 WW s and now he is the king of MMA world ha???

Big fish on the small fond,Oh sorry he has a win over LW Melvin Guillard too LOL

James Gallagher is the best prospect in MMA

If Dana was smart he would sign that kid ASAP, hes only 22 and insanely skilled on the ground (hes arguably the best grappler in SBG already). I could see him winning or atleast contending for the BW or FW title honestly like he has HUGE upside upside.

Hes a douche but you gotta snatch him up from Bellator as well as MVP.

Fun fact: 11 of 22 fighters from UFC 243 card dont have Wiki pages

That's 50%! Sheesh. I was just about to place some parlays, but I don't know who the fook half these people are. Keep these guys in Bellator until they earn a Wiki page pls

The sherdog colour scheme looks too much like pornhub

Keep getting weird looks at the gym while I'm browsing this shit

Who is the most revered legendary fighter of MMA?

This is different than who's the GOAT MMA fighter discussions.

There is still 3 more options open. Just nominate the fighter and I'll probably add him or her.
