I know that Alistair Overeem already proved this when he won his K-1 title. As have the other guys that went over to kickboxing and dominated like Rampage. And guys like Bob Sapp that beat their GOATs.

Semmy Schilt is another proof. He's the GOAT kickboxer, and he's often thought of as a kickboxer. He's NOT. His first pro kickboxing fight was 2002. His first pro MMA fight was in 1996. So, he was a mediocre MMA fighter that decided to fuck around in kickboxing and became the GOAT.
